Rich Akin is Senior Vice President of S & B and is responsible for Business Development activities. He is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. He received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, and continued his graduate studies at the University of Houston. He worked for Shell Chemical Company as well as several engineering/construction contractors prior to joining S & B.

Mr. Akin has extensive international experience, having lived in London for several years and traveled to over 100 countries with foreign assignments including engineering, project management, plant start-up and trouble-shooting, and business development. He was instrumental in developing S & B’s relationship with our Indian affiliate, Valdel (now S & B India).
