The ethane feedstock supply for STAR’s manufacturing process benefits from regional abundance and a historically level cost structure. These are favorable strengths for the STAR Polyolefins facility. Ethane from the Eagle Ford and the Permian shale formations in West Texas will be able to provide the project a long lasting supply of ethane at a stable market price. Current supply-estimates for ethane show that this Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) will be in abundance far past the estimated useful life of the STAR Polyolefins plant of 50+ years.
